Navigating The Insurance Process

Navigating the Insurance Process

By now you have been in a storm probably believe you have enough damage to file a claim.

STOP…do not file a claim until we verify you have enough damage to file a claim…you do not want filed claims that were denied on your record.

1

The first thing Rams Roofing & Solar will do is assess the damage to your roof caused by the storm. We will take pictures and document any visible damage, such as missing shingles, leaks, or structural issues. If emergency repairs need to happen, we will discuss this with you.

2

If necessary, Rams will help you contact your insurance company: Once we have assessed the damage, we will contact your insurance company to report the claim with you.

3

he insurance company will schedule an inspection: After submitting the claim form, your insurance company will schedule an inspection of your roof to assess the damage. Rams will be there to support you through this process in most cases They may send an adjuster or hire a third-party inspector to evaluate the extent of the damage

4

The insurance company may provide you with a scope of work on the spot or they may need to send it back for finalization and approval from the home office. Either way, you will receive the scope of work including the amount of the repair.

5

Rams will review the insurance settlement with you: Once the inspection is complete, your insurance company will provide you with a scope of work. This offer will outline the amount they are willing to pay for the repairs, minus any deductibles or depreciation. We will discuss this and explain it so you understand fully how the process works and your total out of pocket.

6

Rams will work with the Insurance company to make sure all repairs are completed properly and all current building codes are followed if necessary: If we believe the scope of work is insufficient, we can help navigate the process of any missed items with your insurance company. We can provide them with any additional evidence or estimates that support your claim for a higher payout.

7

Choose your materials, colors and any upgrades: Once you have agreed on a settlement amount, we can help you choose the materials, colors and we can discuss any fun or functional upgrades at this time. Make sure to hire a licensed and insured professional who has experience with storm damage repairs. We do!

8

Rams will complete the repairs: We will schedule the repairs, obtain the permit, complete the work to your satisfaction and document everything needed to ensure the insurance company and you are happy with the results.

9

Rams will submit final documentation: After the repairs are completed, we will submit any final documentation, such as invoices and proof of payment, to your insurance company. This will help finalize the claim and ensure that you receive any remaining funds owed for the project.
